Geolicraft was established in 2004 at Burman Camp area in Accra and operating as exporter buying the craft products from producers and some artisans.  The SME started with five (5) workers and has since grown to forty five (45).  The company has relocated to a bigger premise at Nmai Djor in Accra in order to cater for increased business.  The company started off by producing for exporters, however by dint of hard work it is now producing, selling to other exporters and as well as engage in exporting.

COMPANY STRUCTURE

Geolicrafts is established as a sole proprietorship enterprise with Mr. George Akologo as the proprietor.  The proprietor used to work in the construction business.  In 2004, he gave up that job and entered the handicraft business.  The company has three divisions namely production, Secretarial and Marketing.  The production division is composed of Drum, Basket and Mask subdivisions.  The sub divisions work independently of each other.  Each sub division has a group of independent artisans who work on contract basis.  Supervision is exercised by only the sole proprietor who is also the Managing Director of the company.  The administration is handled by a secretary.  Marketing service is handled by the Managing Director who is assisted by a Marketing assistant.
